Hi Everybody!
You're probably wondering what we've been doing in Coeur d'Alene (according to Katie this means "heart of the awl", meaning sharp-hearted or shrewd, and is a reference to the hard bargains the early traders drove) for the past week and a half. Haha. Joke is on you- we got to Dupont May 22 and unpacked the truck on May 23. We will spare you the pictures of boxes and unpacking, but suffice it to say that the house was a mess and continues to be that way though we are making steady progress every day. I started inprocessing (yes this is a real word) with the Army on Tuesday, which mainly consists of sitting around and filling out paperwork all day. I get paid for this, so no complaints here. I have a big folder of paperwork that I carry around, and every office I go to needs multiple copies of my orders and my oath and sometimes other documents as well. Yesterday a SGT told me that my hair tie was out of uniform. Whoopsies.
Also, you may be aware that I graduated medical school and was commissioned as a captain in the US Army. We will put up pictures of both of these events this weekend and then we can clear the decks so as to provide continuing coverage of the adventures of the Mollybear.
